Evangelos Skodras was born in Patras in 1985. He received his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2009. He is currently working towards his PhD at the Wire Communications Laboratory, University of Patras. His research interests are in the area of image processing, video processing and computer vision.
From April 2011 he will be working for a three month period as a visiting PhD Researcher in the Multimedia Signal Processing Group, which is led by Professor Touradj Ebrahimi, at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. His research during this period is focused on audio-visual fusion with application to Multimedia Content Analysis for affect recognition.
