Summary

With the rapid technological developments the interest in 3D video is again rising as it has been many times in history. Nevertheless, this time it has much more momentum due to joint interest by researchers, industry and consumers. The ultimate goal of 3DTV is to capture a 3D scene in one place and display it in a different place in a way as if the user is within the original scene.
